Molly MacCready

The Nonprofit Optimist podcast is hosted by Molly MacCready. Molly is a Chicago native with a passion for education and youth empowerment. She is a graduate of the University of Dayton (BA in Psychology) and the University of Illinois at Chicago (Masters of Public Health). In addition to Chicago and Dayton, Molly has lived in New Orleans and spent a couple years living in Africa (in Uganda and in Malawi).

Molly currently works as the Executive Director of CROSO, a nonprofit she founded in 2007 that provides post-secondary school scholarships to former street children in Uganda. Molly continues to be in awe of each Scholar that CROSO supports and is so proud to make higher education accessible to these hardworking Scholars.

In her free time, Molly can be found wrestling with her nephews, hosting a game night with friends or visiting family in Pennsylvania. She and her husband live in Chicago and have traveled extensively, particularly enjoying opportunities to scuba dive, camp or spend time outdoors.
